The Cold Steel SRK (Survival Rescue Knife) is the proud folding knife of the Cold Steel series for 25 years. This knife was the knife of choice for those in the U.S. military and remains the standard knife during Navy SEAL training. So when Cold Steel commissioned custom knife maker Andrew Demko to develop a high-end tactical folding knife for military applications, he took inspiration from the traditional SRK series. The SR1 features Andrew’s signature minimalist style that is simply pure Functional and practical design. With its heavy-duty blade made from 5MM thick American CPM-S35VN premium powder steel, the SR1 is a heavy-duty folding knife designed for the harshest outdoor environments. A good blade requires a good handle, so the handle of SR1 is made of high-quality G10 with heat-treated steel lining. The unique surface texture of the G10 allows for safe grip even in cold and wet environments, and the streamlined contour design allows for comfortable and safe grip even when wearing heavy gloves. To increase the reliability and safety of use of the SR1, we equipped the SR1 with our world-famous Tri-Ad locking mechanism - proven time and time again to withstand even the heaviest abuse with unparalleled Shock and impact resistant!
