American Buck BUCK 184
MASTER is a survival knife developed by BUCK and PHROBIS for the US Navy SEALs.
The Buckmaster 184, or simply the Buck 184, is a very typical large survival knife from the late 20th century. It is very popular among knife collectors because it was specially developed at the request of the U.S. Navy SEALs and Production ceased in 1997, and the number left in private hands is extremely limited.
The design and development of the Buck 184 largely referenced the shape and concept of the Rambo knife, but it also has its own unique features. For example, the Buck 184 is made entirely of forged steel without any other materials.
The hand guard is thickened to 6 mm, and both ends are slightly upturned. Two rivets are placed on each side. After disassembly, the tether in the hole can be used as an anchor. There are also protruding holes at the bottom that can be used as a harpoon by attaching a rope.
Buck 184 after disassembly, the handle contains a variety of survival items
The Buck 184 seems to be extremely powerful even now, let alone the 1980s when technology was lacking.
Therefore, its output is not considerable. According to statistics, the annual output of the first batch of Buck 184 in 1984 was only 2,600. Until production was discontinued in 1997, the total output of Buck 184 was only 110,000. The Buck supplied by Buck during World War II The total number of 1217 exceeds 1 million, and the gap is huge.
