This "Midnight Combat Knife of the Highest Honor" was created to commemorate Marc Allen Lee, a Petty Officer Second Class who was the first to die heroically in the mission during the Iraq War. As a member of the Navy SEALs, Marc Lee entered Iraq on a riot mission in 2006. He sacrificed himself for his team members, leaving behind a heroic deed and spirit that has been praised by the world. The name "Glory Knife" comes from a passage in a letter written by Marc Lee to his family: "Glory is something that some men chase and others find themselves stumbling upon,...". In addition to the name coming from this touching quote, Benchmade specially plated the SEAL trident, Marc Lee's rank and the date of his heroic death on the blade, hoping that everyone in the world can feel Marc Lee's fearless patriotic spirit. Benchmade will donate part of the proceeds from the sale of this glorious knife to the upcoming Marc Lee Foundation.
